Google’s latest mobile operating system Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean has been announced in Google Groups that the source code for the OS are now releasing to Android Open Source Project (AOSP), projected as Latest Android news.
Jean-Baptiste Queru, Technical Lead, Android Open Source Project, Google said:
“We’re releasing Android 4.1 in AOSP today. The name of the tagged release is android-4.1.1_r1 and the name of the development branch is jb-dev. We recommend that you create new clients, even if you’re working in the master branch. It’ll make your clients smaller and faster to sync. Proprietary binaries are available for Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Xoom will follow.”
As the source code gets released the developers can start their work on their respective devices to build the product according to the Operating System. Developers such as Samsung, Sony, etc can embed the Operating System into their mobile plus tablet devices and can put to sale.Now the tablet reviews or gadget reviews will have some sort of professionalism with the involvement of such popular Android operating system.
Google has only updated the source code for Android 4.1 but still the Nexus device will get the Android 4.1 OTA update to the mid of July.
