Attitude Daksha Android 4.0 ICS Tablet – Review

Recently Datawind launches it two new Tablet ie Ubislate 7+ and 7C,the best part of these tablets is its comes with high specification in Low budget. To give Direct competition to Government’s Aakash & Datawind’s Ubislate tablet,Telmoco Development Labs a Kerala (India) based company have come up with its new tablet dubbed as ‘Attitude Daksha’ at Rs 5399 inclusive of all taxes.

Telmoco Development Lab has launched its own low-cost Android tablet –Attitude Daksha. The Tablet has a 7 inch WVGA (480×800 pixel resolution) multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display and runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. The internal memory of the device is 4GB which can be expanded an additional 32GB with a microSD card.

It is of course understandable that many people are focused on getting the lowest possible price for education computers, but that does not make hardware price and price alone the appropriate measure.

Design and Looks

The looks of the tablet are not that much attractive as others, but yeah as per cost the tablet can be manageable. The device has 3 buttons on the front side of tablet “back” “menu” “home” options. It looks good in black colored plastic body and is light weight and has average features as Radio, Music Player, Audio and Video Player, etc.

Display Features and Camera

The Tablet has a 7 inch WVGA (480×800 pixel resolution) multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display. I am totally not satisfied with the camera it is providing us, the camera is of 0.2 megapixel although it can be upgraded to 2.0 megapixel, then also the camera functionality is not that much happening.

It also gives capability for installing interactive applications, games, HD Videos, etc.

Memory and Battery

The tablet runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and has 512MB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 4GB which can be expanded an additional 32GB with a microSD card.

It has 3800 mAh battery which is very efficient as compared to other batteries of the tablets of the same range.

Connectivity Options

Attitude Daksha provides the connectivity options as Wifi, 3G USB Modem. It has USB port, HDMI port that can be used to connect to any other device.

Other slots in the tablet are: micro USB, Ethernet, and 3.5mm audio jack.

We can use Skype app or calling if you have better internet speed and skype credit also a few USB modems with little firmware update allows you to handle calls.

Software Features

It runs on Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is the latest version of Android OS in tablets, which can be found in most of the tablets of now as Micromax Funbook. Processor is good, great capacitive screen and all other stuff in it.

No official specs are provided for SIM card connectivity and its highly unlikely to be present in it but you can use 3G modem with it.

Pro’s

  • Better Processor than others
  • 400 Hz GPU
  • Multi touch supported Capacitive screen
  • True HD support
  • Latest Android 4.0
  • VGA camera upgradeable to 2 MP
  • Long Battery

Con’s

  • No Rear camera
  • No SIM card Slot
  • Absence of Big Brand Name

 The Bottom Line

Attitude Daksha is overall good choice of tablet in the range it is providing us. The battery backup of the device is expected to be pretty longer and its features as Wi-Fi and latest software configuration make this tablet a worth. If you are looking for something latest as cheap tablets then Attitude Daksha can be a good option for you.

There are lot of dongles which allows you to do that. Dongles are nothing but mobile phone without display, speaker, microphone and dialer……:-)
