Though Google has cleared the air about botnet, but latest news comes in about a fake Skype application that is a malware. The malicious program is designed in a way to earn money. Trend Micro discovered the malware and is calling it as JAVA SMSSEND.AB.
The application may be a fake but the feedback says that it is not very good. The fake application runs on older Android and Symbian devices only which allow the JAVA MIDlet execution. The users that download this fake are provided with, jar (JAVA MIDlet) instead of .apk(package file for Android). The installer installs a malware instead of the Skype application.
