ICS update for HTC Desire HD reportedly Cancelled

Bad news For Those Who Owns The HTC Desire HD,It appears that you might not get Android 4.0 ICS update for HTC Desire HD,Its Android Upgrade has been Cancelled. GSMArena has discovered an OS upgrade schedule from Telus (a Canadian carrier)-”the Desire HD 4.0 update has been cancelled due to “poor device performance during testing”. Now this could just be limited to devices on Telus’ network but that seems highly unlikely.”

Earlier This Summer,HTC had Released the update list of  Ice Cream Sandwich,According to that list HTC Desire HD was Supposed to get the ICS update in July or August,But information from Canadian network Telus indicates testing problems have seen the update canceled.

The Desire HD is a competent Android smartphone, with a single-core 1Ghz Snapdragon processor and It has More it has more RAM (768MB) compared to the One V (512MB) which was shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich. Even the HTC Desire C, a handset with a mere 600Mhz processor, is running on Ice Cream Sandwich Aswell.

This “Poor Device Performance” Issue may be related to Telus’s own handsets,Right Now It’s not clear whether the Desire HD’s Android 4.0 update has been canceled everywhere or not,But According to recent post on Facebook,Some of the HTC users claims that The Desire HD is still on track and is expected in July-August,but there’s no official word yet from HTC on the matter.
