Microsoft announced the Windows Phone 8 that it is the most advanced Smartphone in the market having Windows 8 support. In an official blog spot, Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore says, “Many of Windows Phone 8’s new capabilities come from a surprising source: Windows, the most successful and powerful operating system on the planet, and one used by more than a billion people.”

Microsoft has Unveils its New Operating System For Mobile Phones,Windows Phone 8. Codenamed “Apollo,”at its Windows Phone Summit event in San Francisco. According to The Windows Makers,The New Windows Phone 8 will be designed on the same architecture as Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows RT operating systems.

Some features of the Windows Phone 8 are given as follows:

 

1. New Start Screen

With Windows Phone 8 you can customize your start screen to have your own colors in the tiles. It has become more personalized by providing a interactive interface for users. Size of the tiles can also be changed as to what you prefer to have large sized.

2. Big, Clear and Sharp Display

Windows Phone 8 sport a good large enough screen, equipped with ample amount of sharpness and clarity of the display as never before. The new OS will support two new screen resolutions; 1280×768 and 1280×720 and will also be capable of showing high-definition 720 videos. The new OS has opened a new door to make amazing new handsets which we expect to be better than Android based smartphones and iPhones.

Windows Phone 7 did not managed to get removable or expandable memory, but Windows Phone 8 did managed to get it. Now microSD card can be used to expand the memory of the Phone as and when needed to store music, videos, streamed stuff over the internet, document files, and many more things.

The Windows Phone 8 will be using the same processor that will be used by its new upcoming tablets. This will unleash a new wave of amazing apps and especially games, just like the developers for Apple does- the same app will be used for iPhone and iPad.
